It's Never Too Late: The Story of Mama Arlene and the Children of Urukundo
Share this event
In her seventies, Mama Arlene built a home for 52 orphaned children after the Rwandan genocide. Those children are all thriving today, with some graduating university and some now serving on the charity's board, which is led by the Rwandese community. More than 1,100 children learn at the school Mama built, and today, in her nineties, Mama is still leading the project. This is a celebration of Rwanda, of volunteering, and of what one person can do when they centre their life on purpose.
