The Starjets came from Belfast and were formed during the heady days of the original punk explosion. Despite recording a host of singles they only had the one hit in the UK with War Stories, this was accompanied by an album, God Bless the Starjets around the same time. The band changed their name to Tango Brigade in 1980 but broke up soon after.
The Starjets reformed in 2019 and began performing again, their reputation boosted when War Stories was covered by Billie Joe Armstrong, acknowledging one of the prime influences on his own band, Green Day.
We are delighted to welcome them back to the London stage and In particular to The Fiddler’s Elbow.

MOVIELAND is a cult shoegaze trio that made waves in Vancouver Canada in the early
1990s. With their psych-spiraled melodies and heart-swelling hypno-jams MOVIELAND
occupied a unique space in the Pacific Northwest at a time when grunge was king.
Formed by singer-guitarist Alan D. Boyd, the band’s sound blended the jangle of
Rickenbacker guitars with a haze of distortion, creating an atmosphere influenced by
acts like The Stone Roses and Slowdive.
In the absence of the other two band members, founder Alan Boyd will be showcasing the band's sound in solo form for tonight's show. Expect sonic blasts aplenty.
