Join the Asheville Literary Society & Social Club for an evening of books, cocktails, and conversation with celebrated chef, restaurateur, and cookbook author Katie Button, as she introduces her newest cookbook, Spanish Accent: American Home Recipes with a Spanish Touch.

In conversation with founder Elizabeth Schulte Roth, Katie will share the stories, inspirations, and culinary adventures behind her latest book, a delicious marriage of the American classics she grew up with and the vibrant flavors of Spain that shaped her career.

From Spanish Adobo Fried Chicken to No Churn Salted Olive Oil Ice Cream, Spanish Accent brings a fresh perspective to everyday cooking, entertaining, and the pleasures of gathering around the table.

Enjoy cocktails by Chemist, lively conversation, and an opportunity to meet Katie. Malaprop's Bookstore will be on hand selling copies of Spanish Accent, followed by a book signing with the author.

Katie Button is a five-time James Beard Foundation Award-nominated chef, cookbook author, media personality, and founder of Asheville's acclaimed Cúrate. After honing her culinary skills alongside legendary chefs Ferran Adrià and José Andrés, she brought her passion for Spanish cuisine to Asheville, helping put the city on the national culinary map.

She is the founder of Button Meana Group, which includes Katie Button Media, and the star of Magnolia Network's From the Source. Her first cookbook, Cúrate: Authentic Spanish Food from an American Kitchen, celebrated the Spanish culinary traditions that have become her signature. Her latest, Spanish Accent, brings those flavors home, offering an accessible and inspired approach to the way we cook, eat, and entertain.
