DRAMA TRANSITION TASTER SESSION

One of the ways we help with transition from Year 6 to Year 7 is through the delivery of subject specific Transition Taster Sessions during the Summer Term. The sessions have historically been extremely popular. They are designed to be fun and engaging activities and help students to become familiar with Blenheim in readiness for Induction Day on Tuesday 30 June. 

Below are the subject sessions being offered, along with the date of each session.

Classes are limited to 30 students. To allow maximum participation each student may only sign up to one session.

Timetable for the sessions:

• From 3.30pm – Arrive in normal Primary School uniform at Main Reception where students will be welcomed by Mrs Barnes, Blenheim’s Primary Schools and Transition Lead, and the recently appointed Year 9 student WellBeing Ambassadors. A small snack and a drink will be provided in the school canteen. Please alert us to any allergies when signing up; there is a specific space to do this on the ticket order form. If your child is attending the Dance or PE class, they can wear PE-style clothing of their choice (including trainers) as we know that PE kits are generally kept in the Primary School so will be hard to access. Please note; no boots are required for the PE sessions.

• 3:45pm – 4:45pm – Subject specialists will deliver a 60-minute subject-specific session supported by the WellBeing Ambassadors.

• 4.45pm – Supervised dismissal via the school Main Reception where students will be collected by parents. 

Parking for the Transition Sessions; There is no parking onsite.
