💶 Volunteer Commitment Deposit

We receive a large number of volunteer applications and usually have more suitable applicants than positions available on each retreat.

Unfortunately, we have previously had volunteers reserve a position and later cancel at short notice. When this happens, it can be difficult to find a replacement and can leave us without the team members we need to run the retreat.

For this reason, successful applicants are asked to pay a €50 refundable commitment deposit to secure their volunteer position. The deposit is not a fee and will be returned to you after you complete your agreed volunteering period, subject to the cancellation terms below.

🌴 How It Works

1. Reserve your first retreat

Select the first retreat date you would like to volunteer on and pay the €50 commitment deposit to secure your position.

Once your booking has been completed, you will be redirected to a booking confirmation page with more information about the retreat.

2. Staying for more than one retreat?

If you have agreed to volunteer for multiple retreats, first reserve your initial retreat and pay the €50 deposit.

You can then reserve your subsequent agreed retreat dates using the discount code VOLUNTEER, which will allow you to reserve those positions without paying another deposit.

Your original €50 deposit will simply roll over to each subsequent retreat and will be returned after you have completed the final retreat you have reserved.

3. Send us your flight details

Once you have reserved your volunteer position, please send us confirmation of your flights within 48 hours, including your arrival and departure dates and times.

This allows us to confirm your exact arrival and departure dates and know that your travel arrangements are in place.

📋 Cancellation & Deposit Terms

We understand that plans can sometimes change. If you need to cancel your volunteer placement:

More than 30 days before your first reserved retreat:
Your €50 deposit will be refunded in full.

14–30 days before your first reserved retreat:
50% of your deposit (€25) will be refunded.

Less than 14 days before your first reserved retreat or failure to arrive:
The deposit will be non-refundable.

Genuine emergencies:
If you need to cancel at short notice because of a genuine emergency or exceptional circumstance outside of your control, we may return your deposit in full where reasonable supporting evidence can be provided.

If Bliss Yoga Retreats cancels your placement:
If we are unable to provide the volunteer placement you have reserved, your deposit will of course be refunded in full.

✈️ Changing Multiple-Retreat Commitments

If you have reserved several retreats and later decide to shorten your agreed volunteering period, the cancellation terms above will apply based on the date of the first retreat you are cancelling, rather than your original arrival date.

For example, if you originally reserve three retreats but later decide to leave after the second, the notice period will be calculated from the start date of the third retreat.

🤝 Why We Ask for a Deposit

Each volunteer position is limited and, once you reserve it, we stop offering that position to other suitable applicants.

The commitment deposit helps us ensure that positions are reserved by people who genuinely intend to come, while still being fully refundable when you complete your agreed volunteering period.

Please only reserve dates that you are confident you can commit to. Once your deposit has been paid and your dates reserved, your volunteer position is confirmed and those places are held specifically for you.
