B Corp and Beyond: Scotland’s Purpose Led Business Fest
Tue 4 Mar 2025 10:30 AM - 5:00 PM
The Scotsman Hotel, EH1 1TR
Description
Calling all businesses in Scotland committed to a positive impact on people, communities and the planet.
The UK B Corp Movement set an ambition for all UK businesses to act as a force for good within 10 years. The Scottish community of B Corp certified businesses wants to accelerate that commitment and fuel the growth in business beyond profit. In support of this aim we are holding a festival for all businesses, B Corp or otherwise in 2025.
B Corp and Beyond: Scotland’s purpose-led business fest
Whether you’re a certified B Corp, B Curious or keen to know more about how to improve the social and environmental performance of your business, this festival is for you. Come along to our one-day event where we’ll celebrate the best of sustainable business in Scotland, challenge ourselves to be better and grow our businesses by using our work to solve the big social, economic and environmental challenges of our time.
We have developed a packed schedule of keynote speeches, panels and interactive workshops with plenty of time allotted to network and establish new partnerships. We look forward to announcing the full line-up of speakers soon but, confirmed speakers include:
Keynote speaker: John Blakey, Author: “Force for Good: How to Thrive as a Purpose-Driven Leader”
Speakers and panelists include:
- Amy Clark, Founder, Tribe Impact Capital LLP
- Alan Mahon, Founder, Brewgooder
- Kat Brogan, Managing Director, Mercat Tours (interactive workshop)
- Chris Turner, Executive Director, B Lab UK
Additional speaker, panel and workshop slots
We are continuing to curate the festival agenda and looking to recruit a small number of additional speakers, panellists and workshop hosts, including some bright young talent to appear on our Youth Panel. Please fill out this form if you would like to nominate yourself, or someone else, to speak with details of what you would like to cover. If you are in the B Corp Community and have already registered interest in speaking no need to fill the form in, we have your details and will be back in touch soon.
We'd particularly like to hear from under-represented communities, people under 30 and over 50, and those interested in running really different, interactive workshops and creative sessions.
We are also looking for volunteers who hold a ticket for the full day and would be interested in facilitating lunchtime discussion or networking groups.

Earlybird tickets!
Earlybird tickets have been extended until Tuesday, February 4th - don't delay securing your ticket and share with peers, partners, suppliers and clients – we all have a part to play in Scotland’s wellbeing economy.
We are not being financially supported for the conference (although B Lab UK and Muckle Media are splitting liability for any losses 50/50) - so ticket pricing is designed to cover all costs on a not-for-profit basis. Any surplus funds will be donated to a local charity. We want the event to be accessible to everyone and to have representation from across the community, if you would like to attend the festival but the ticket cost is a barrier please contact us via the gmail account below and we will see how we can help accommodate you.
Email: blocalscotland@gmail.com for any questions or queries about the event.
