A workshop led by the Alot Teatro collective. Together with participants, they will explore the connection between body and voice, manifesting aliveness through polyphonic songs from Mediterranean oral traditions. These songs, learned during their expeditions, guide the group into a dimension of connection. Through melody, harmony, and rhythm, the participants will create a collective experience that is both disciplined and freeing.

Practicing polyphonic music allows experimentation with new expressive and interpretive elements, enriching one's artistic vocabulary. The first phase of the workshop activates the performer’s instrument with physical-vocal warm-up practices, training collective listening and breathing. In the second phase, we will focus on polyphonic songs. Singing in a circle fosters strong relationships and attentive listening.

We will learn and try songs from the collective’s repertoire. Our workshop’s aim is to create an integrated working environment. There are no specific objectives; what matters is the group's response to these shared songs, nourishing ourselves together and discovering new theatrical possibilities.

This workshop are for those 16+.
