All About The Birds

NEW WAVE THEATRE: Embarking on parallel road trips through the UK and Lebanon, Zed and Jad drive until dawn.

A car pulls up in Mount Lebanon, another stops on the outskirts of Manchester.

Zed and Jad are at a loss, they don't know where to go and so they begin to drive.

They pick up people along the road, pass through village pubs, checkpoints, free parties, and abandoned buildings.

Embarking on parallel road trips through the UK and Lebanon they drive until dawn.

All About the Birds is a poetic and poignant exploration of what freedom can mean.

The performance is in English and Arabic, with subtitles provided in both languages throughout.

This is a work-in-progress performance of a new play co-written by Maddie Wakeling and Nassim Al-Banna, created with Georgina Wheelehan, Fernando Solis and Mehdi Zion. Presented by Amy Sze Productions. Supported by Contact Theatre, Bloomsbury Festival and Arts Council England.

تقف سيارتان، إحداهما في جبل لبنان، والأخرى في ضواحي مانشستر .

يحمل كلّاً من زيد وجاد خسارةً، ومن غير وجهة يبدآن بالقيادة.

يلتقون ببعض الأشخاص على طريقهم، يمرّون عبر البارات، الحواجز، الحفلات وأبنية مهجورة.

في رحلتين عبر المملكة المتحدّة ولبنان، يقودان حتى الفجر.

طيور في كل شيء، هي استكشاف شاعري ومؤثر عن ما قد تعني كلمة الحرية.

هذا العمل هو عرض أدائي قيد الإنجاز لمسرحيّة جديدة من تأليف وكتابة مادي ويكلينغ ونسيم البنا، تم إعدادها بمساعدة جورجينا ويليهان، فرناندو سوليس، ومهدي صهيون.
