Dance / Movement Therapy Workshop: Dance meets Mental Health Care

Thu 15 Oct 2026 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM Holborn Library, WC1X 8PA

A participatory Dance/Movement Therapy Workshop alongside What Makes You Proud film screening.

DANCE/ MOVEMENT THERAPY WORKSHOP: reconnect with the innate wisdom of your body and cultivate a deeper relationship with yourself.

Hosted by the SHM Foundation and led by Minh Bui, the founder of Vietnam Dance/ Movement Therapy. No dance experience is necessary. Simply come with an open heart and a curiosity to nurture your body wisdom. In an era increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence, this workshop is an invitation to reconnect with the innate wisdom of the living body, cultivating a deeper relationship with yourself (BODY MIND EMOTION SPIRIT) through movement, presence, and embodied experience.

Please wear comfortable clothing that allows for free movement. If you plan to wear a dress or skirt, we recommend wearing leggings underneath.

Please bring a notebook, a pen, and a few crayons or coloured pencils.

After the workshop, please join us at the Curzon Bloomsbury for a drinks reception and the UK Premier screening of our WHAT MAKES YOU PROUD FILM, featuring four community-led mental health organisations, including Vietnam Dance /Movement Therapy.

Reserve your workshop place on the link at the top of this page. Reserve your screening place separately.
