Bloom's Gardening Sessions - July 2024
(Previously known as Gather & Grow Sessions)
Would you like to meet some lovely people and learn new skills? Or perhaps you are feeling a little down or anxious and feel like some time outside would do you good. Join us as a group of like-minded people to plant, weed, sow and sip tea in the fresh air to help us feel good. Come along and help us at our community flower garden for women and non-binary folk.

You can join a session at any of our gardens, just select the date and garden you would like to come to when you select your tickets. You can read more about our gardens here.
Here is some more information about what you can expect at each of our gardens:
Baby Bloom Garden - This is our relaxed garden. It is the smallest of all of our flower gardens but is the most established, so it is a space to take it easy and get involved at your own pace. We also offer quiet sessions here, which are very low pressure and have smaller groups. Baby Bloom is located at Heeley & Meersbrook Allotments, S8 9HW.

At this garden you can expect:
- Small groups - no bigger than 8.
- Less physical gardening tasks, such as seed sowing, planting and potting on.
- At Baby Bloom we have a shelter, a greenhouse, raised beds and a quiet sitting area.
- We don’t have any electricity here, but we have a stove kettle, fresh water and access to a composting toilet.
Big Bloom Garden - This is our newest community garden and it is big by name and big by nature! These sessions tend to have about 10 - 15 people attend at each session. Big Bloom is located at Heeley & Meersbrook Allotments, S8 9HW.

At this garden you can expect:
an orchard, a pond, woodland and a growing space.
Lots of opportunities to meet new people and make some new pals.
Lots of clearing, chopping and digging. This garden is one you can really get stuck into and make a big change!
Big Bloom has a big indoor wooden building and composting toilet. We don’t have any electricity here, but we have a stove kettle and fresh water for drinks and refreshments.
Wortley Walled Garden - We have a section of this historic walled garden where we are growing rows of flowers and shrubs to use in our bouquets. We have a regular volunteer team here, who you will come to recognise. This garden is located at Wortley Hall, S35 7DB.

At this garden you can expect:
Medium sized groups - between 8 - 12 people including our regular volunteers.
Tasks that include; weeding, planting, digging beds and picking flowers.
We have access to shelter in a polytunnel if the weather gets very wet. There is also access to a toilet here.
