Bloom's Community Choir
Join us for a joyful and inclusive Community Choir led by experienced choir leader and arranger Liv Muir, hosted upstairs at The Broadfield.
📍The Broadfield Pub (Upstairs Room)
452 Abbeydale Road, S7 1FR
These uplifting 90-minute sessions are designed to bring people together through the simple act of singing – no experience necessary! Whether you’ve sung in choirs before, only ever sing in the shower, or think you "can’t sing" at all, this is your invitation to discover the power of your voice in a supportive and welcoming group.
Each session begins with some gentle physical and vocal warm-ups to ease you in and help you connect with your breath, body, and voice. Liv will then guide the group through a carefully chosen selection of songs – from well-known classics to lesser-known gems – all arranged to be accessible and enriching, with a strong emphasis on mindfulness, wellbeing, and community connection.
🌿 What to expect:
Relaxed and friendly atmosphere
No auditions, sheet music, or pressure – everything is taught by ear
Songs that uplift, soothe, and connect
Opportunities to explore harmony, rhythm, and group sound
A chance to unwind, breathe, and be present
Singing in a group has been shown to reduce stress, improve mood, and boost a sense of belonging – and we’ve designed these sessions to be as inclusive and enjoyable as possible. You’ll leave feeling lighter, more grounded, and part of something bigger.
Come along with an open mind, a warm heart, and a willingness to join in – that’s all you need.
🌈 Who Can Attend:
This event is for women and non-binary people, and we are a proudly trans-inclusive organisation. Everyone is welcome – whether you’re coming with a friend or on your own, we look forward to meeting you!
This event is delivered by Bloom Sheffield and is part of their Winter Wellbeing Programme. This programme is a seasonal offering designed to support mental health, connection, and community during the colder, darker months. Through a mix of creative workshops, gentle outdoor activities, reflective gatherings, and social events, we create warm and welcoming spaces where people can slow down, connect with others, and find moments of calm. Sessions are offered on a pay-as-you-can basis, making them as accessible as possible, and all contributions go directly back into supporting Bloom Sheffield’s work with women across the city.
