Learn to Knit with Bloom Sheffield & Black Elephant 🧶

Join us for a cosy and creative 2-hour workshop at the beautiful Black Elephant Studio, perfect for those who would like to learn a new skill.

📍Grafters Yard
63 Herschell Road, S7 1BT
Please note this venue is accessed via stairs.

Whether you’re a complete beginner wanting to learn a new skill, or someone with a half-finished project looking for some company while you stitch, you are warmly invited to come along. This session is all about taking time out, getting creative with yarn, and enjoying the soothing rhythm of making with your hands.

We’ll have a small selection of wool and needles available for you to borrow and learn on, but you will also be able to purchase gorgeous Black Elephant hand-dyed yarn on the day as well, so you can take your creation home.

🌙 What to expect:

  • A relaxed, no-pressure atmosphere

  • Support for beginners

  • A cosy space to unwind, make and connect

  • a warm welcome and friendly faces

🌼 This session is open to women and non-binary people. We are a trans-inclusive organisation and strive to make Bloom a safe and supportive space for everyone who joins us.

So whether you're here to learn, relax, or just share space with others, we’d love to see you for this gentle evening of yarn and connection.

🌈 Who Can Attend:
This event is for women and non-binary people, and we are a proudly trans-inclusive organisation. Everyone is welcome – whether you’re coming with a friend or on your own, we look forward to meeting you!

This event is delivered by Bloom Sheffield and is part of their Winter Wellbeing Programme. This programme is a seasonal offering designed to support mental health, connection, and community during the colder, darker months. Through a mix of creative workshops, gentle outdoor activities, reflective gatherings, and social events, we create warm and welcoming spaces where people can slow down, connect with others, and find moments of calm. Sessions are offered on a pay-as-you-can basis, making them as accessible as possible, and all contributions go directly back into supporting Bloom Sheffield’s work with women across the city.
