Gather & Grow Gardening Sessions

Would you like to meet some lovely people and learn new skills? Or perhaps you are feeling a little down or anxious and feel like some time outside would do you good. Join us as a group of like-minded people to plant, weed, dig and sip tea in the fresh air to help us feel good. Come along to our Gather & Grow gardening sessions and help us at our community flower garden for women and non-binary folk.

You don't need to have any gardening experience to come along - just a willingness to get stuck in!

These sessions will be held at our community garden called: Big Bloom - This is our newest community garden and it is big by name and big by nature! These sessions tend to have about 10 - 15 people attend at each session.
🌸On 16th June 2026 we are hosting a quiet session. This will be for a much smaller group (6 people), with slower and less strenuous activities. 🌸

📍Big Bloom is located at Heeley & Meersbrook Allotments, S8 9HW.

At this garden you can expect:

• an orchard, a pond, woodland and a growing space.

• Lots of opportunities to meet new people and make some new pals.

• Lots of clearing, chopping and digging. This garden is one you can really get stuck into and make a big change!

• Big Bloom has a big indoor wooden building and composting toilet. We don’t have any electricity here, but we have a stove kettle and fresh water for drinks and refreshments.
