Decades Club
Decades Club
A space for parents living with their adult child’s addiction
If you have been living with your adult child’s addiction for years, you will know how much it can take from you.
The constant worry.
The hoping things will change.
The setbacks.
The feeling that you have to keep going, whatever it costs.
Over time, it can begin to feel like this has quietly become your life.
You may have found yourself carrying it alone—
wondering if you could have done something differently…
or how much longer you can keep going like this.
Decades Club is a space for you.
What Decades Club is about
Decades Club is a gentle, supportive space for parents who have been living with their adult child’s addiction over many years.
It’s not about fixing your child.
It’s not about being told what to do.
It’s about you.
A place where you can:
- Take a breath
- Be with people who truly understand
- Begin to come back to yourself, at your own pace
There is no pressure to share more than you want to.
No judgment.
No expectations.
Just space, understanding, and support.
What makes this different
Many parents tell us they feel:
- unseen
- misunderstood
- or quietly blamed
Decades Club is different.
It is led by people who understand this personally as well as professionally.
You won’t have to explain everything.
You won’t have to justify how you feel.
You will be met with compassion, not judgment.
What we do together
Each session is simple, gentle, and human.
We come together over tea and cake, and you can:
- Connect with other parents who really get it
- Feel heard in a safe, supportive space
- Learn simple, practical ways to steady yourself when things feel overwhelming
- Explore self-compassion and self-care in a way that feels possible (not pressured)
- Begin to find small moments of space, strength, and relief
You can take part as much or as little as you like.
Who it’s for
Decades Club is for parents who:
- Have an adult child affected by addiction or complex needs
- Have been living with this for a long time
- Feel the emotional weight of years of caring, worrying, and holding on
- Are ready (even just a little bit) to have some support for themselves
You don’t have to be in crisis.
You don’t have to have the “right words.”
If this resonates, you are welcome.
