UK Blues Awards 2025 UK Band of the Year and Album of the Year nominee ‘Connolly Hayes’ comprises Jess Hayes, Frankie Connolly, Beau Barnard, Joe Mac and Andy Wilder. 5 long-time friends playing a carefully curated blend of blues/rock/soul nationwide and further.

Travelling north for headline shows at Orkney Blues Festival 2025, Connolly Hayes will play Edinburgh for the first time.

Jess and Frankie had already been making waves with their respective own projects, but in the summer of 2023, following a performance at the legendary Isle of Wight festival, the decision was made to combine the bands and start writing and recording new, original music.

Edinburgh Singer-Songwriter, and occasional event wrangler! I'm delighted to host Connolly Hayes (Band) for their first Embra show. I'd seen a great clip of Frankie on the bottle neck, then asked my Patrons if any had seen them live. The feedback was 100% positive. And here we are! This is one of the first Blue Bounty Events.

Please note the Voodoo Rooms, unfortunately, is not an acessible venue. Entry requires the use of roughly 35 stairs, most of which (but not all) have a handrail.  If you require a seat to be able to attend the gig, please get in touch. We happily reserve seats for those who need.
