Our Guest Speakers

Dorian Payne is the Welsh entrepreneur behind Castell Group, a partnership housebuilder he founded in 2019 at 24 after seeing the affordable housing crisis firsthand in South Wales. His model removes risk for housing associations and local authorities, delivering homes faster with greater cost certainty.

He now leads a 70+ person team and a £260 million pipeline of 1,000+ homes across Wales, addressing a crisis affecting 1.5 million people on UK social housing waiting lists, 100,000+ in Wales alone.

Awards: Young Entrepreneur of the Year (GBEA Allica 2024), Rising Star (CN Specialists 2025), Property Person of the Year, New Build Project of the Year, & Social Housing Investor of the Year (Blue Bricks Awards 2026),  Stelios Young Entrepreneur UK finalist (2025).

He also co-founded the Elidor Foundation with his wife Elizabeth, giving young people across Wales enterprise and life skills training.
