A JOURNEY THROUGH THE NIGHT SKY AT BLYTH HALL is back! This was our sold-out summer event, and we would love to invite you on this exciting evening of night sky exploration in autumn.

Spend a magical autumn night under the stars at the historic Blyth Hall. This is a special evening dedicated to the night sky–a relaxed, late-night experience led by experts, Dr Sarah Crick, a Cambridge-trained astronomer and Outstanding-rated physics teacher who is also the founder of Just Good Science and Mission Astro; and Nova Stargazing Experiences led by Jordan Mansfield.

🕰️ EVENT BREAKDOWN

• 7.30pm Doors open. You'll be welcomed into Blyth Hall with hot drinks and refreshments
• 8pm-9pm You will be welcomed to join us for an astronomy talk conducted by Dr Sarah Crick
  • TIME HOP - Come look back in time with us! In this talk, we will take the audience on an adventure through space and time! It will have you questioning where you are in the universe and looking at stars differently. It's perspective-changing stuff! We look at some of the patterns in the night sky, and zoom in on the Plough, a well-known asterism in the sky. In a cross-curricular twist, we look at light travel time and think about what was happening on Earth when the light left the stars in the Plough that we are receiving today. It's a space talk mixed with British history and inspirational talk to inspire big thinkers to ask big questions.
• 9pm-10.30pm After the talk, we will go outside where Jordan and his team from Nova Stargazing Experiences will guide you through a telescope-led tour of the night sky–planets, stars and constellations, seen up close through powerful telescopes

❗️IMPORTANT NOTES:

• Clear skies are essential for the telescopes, so we'll be keeping a close eye on the forecast and will contact ticket holders if conditions look uncertain
• Please dress warmly as we will spend some time outside
• All ticket sales are final. However, in the event of unsuitable weather, we will move the stargazing to a backup date, which is on Monday, Nov 16th. Your ticket will automatically carry through to the backup date. So, please make sure you are available on both dates before purchasing your tickets. If the alternative date also doesn't work, we will then issue the refunds
• Photos and videos will be taken during this event. By purchasing the tickets you agree to be included in our photos and videos 
• Parking is available on-site. Please park at the designated area, and please do not park in front of the house as the area must be clear for the stargazing
