BGFL Catan Settlers Battle of Luxembourg Edition 9

Edition 9 of the Catan Battle of Luxembourg is on the horizon! Reserve your seats, mark your calendars and get the war paint ready. Nine editions in, and the island still hasn't been fully settled. The roads are longer, the armies are larger, and somewhere out there someone is already hoarding ore.

How the tournament will work?

On the day of the event, here are the straight-forward steps we will follow (same as the previous tournaments)

1. Once you sign up, you will be randomly allocated to a pool of 2-4 Catan players
2. Meet in-person in Luxembourg City (Amazon Lux-14) to play 3 games of Catan on Day 1
3. Highest ranked players proceed into Day 2 and continue the battle until there’s one winner

First place wins a custom trophy, a special prize and more importantly, boasting rights until the next tournament. 2nd and 3rd place prizes will also be awarded.

Tournament schedule

The schedule of the tournament is as follows:

• 25-Aug-2026 - Registrations open
• 25-Sep-2026 - Close of registrations
• 03-Oct-2026 - Allocation of groups and Knock-out rounds
• 04-Oct-2026 - Semi Finals & Finals

• This tournament is being organized by the Board Game Fanatics of Luxembourg
• The entirety of your fee for the tournament will be utilized for BGFL tournament organization and the prizes
• The fee is non-refundable, including in the event of no-show
• By signing up you agree to the eligibility criteria of the tournament (18+ years of age and living in Luxembourg; participants below the age of 18 must be accompanied by a guardian)
• You will treat all participants and people associated with the tournament in a kind, respectable and courteous manner, and the organizers will assume no responsibility for your misconduct or any form of inappropriate behavior.
• In the event of lower registrations, we reserve the right to reduce the number of games played and conclude the tournament in one day.
• The tournament organizers reserve the right to exclude participants from the tournament.
• By taking part in this tournament (either through observation or participation), you consent to being recorded. Images and videos taken during the event may be used for promotional purposes for future tournaments. Reach out to us should there be any concerns.
