About the performers
Benicio del Trainwreck was born on a night out in Kansas City some many years ago. He finds didactic or obtuse bios irritating in equal measure. Regrettably he holds multiple degrees, and devotes a fair amount of time gently gnawing on the various hands that feed him.
Elina Bry is a French-Finnish multidisciplinary artist based in Glasgow, working across sound, video, and performance. Their practice explores humour, intimacy, and experimentation through hybrid forms that bring together voice, sound, image, and gesture. Recent sound projects include a commission for Radiophrenia (2023 & 2026), a sound performance residency at Goolugatup Heathcote in Western Australia in 2024, and a commission for the Adaptation exhibition as part of Oulu2026 European Capital of Culture in Finland.
John Fletcher is an artist from Leicester, working in Glasgow. He is interested in modes of humour, professionalism, labour, and how they manifest in the world, and its effects on the state of mind. This transpires through different mediums including drawing, sculpture, sound, video, and performance.
Katrina Cobain is an interdisciplinary Irish artist based in Glasgow. Drawn to absurdity and its ability to puncture hopelessness, her work has a subtle humour, which she considers a form of resistance. Currently concerned with the duplexity of materials and their layered realties, she engages large scale systems and concerns with more personal narratives of nostalgia, optimism, and the performativity of self.
Leo Bussi is a poet. He runs a reading series called Waterwings and a curatorial project about ekphrasis called Ek. His debut pamphlet, Life-Sized, came out in 2025 with SPAM Press. His poetry and writing have appeared in numerous outlets including Frieze, Gutter Magazine, Discount Guillotine, Plinth, Des Pair Books, Soapbox Journal, Tentacular Magazine, and more. He has been commissioned by Sid Motion Gallery, Glasgow Zine Fest, and Jupiter Artland to perform and curate readings.
Shona Macnaughton is a performance artist, she makes live events based on artefacts from alternative political life from the past as a monstered version of her artist self. Shona has performed and exhibited nationally and internationally in galleries, museums, theatres, gig venues, clubs, dives, virtually and on the street.
About Boardroom Committee Room
Boardroom Committee Room CIC is an artist-run studios and gallery in Govan, Glasgow. Founded in 2023, Boardroom Committee Room is an unfunded Community Interest Company currently run by two volunteer Directors. The gallery programme aims to support emerging artists within the creative landscape of Glasgow, where resources for exhibiting are increasingly scarce.
