Arthritis is common and scary for many people. This workshop will use the latest findings in pain research and models of inflammation to reduce the fear of arthritis. 

We will examine some of the myths surrounding arthritis and look at effective tools to take back control. We will go into knee osteoarthritis in detail, it is far and away the biggest presentation of arthritis. After this workshop you will have a range of options that to help people regain movement and feel safe again. 

Topics covered will include:

• What is arthritis? The differences between osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis
• Understanding pain science - ‘wear and repair’, not ‘wear and tear’
• Encouragement to exercise, a little more than before but not too much
• Working with knees and their connections
• Strategies to reduce inflammation
