Learn to feel the power of shaking in a safe, supported group. The course will be very practical. In the morning and afternoon sessions you will be supported through the exercises and tremors. There will be lots of time to learn about the theory of TRE, and time for discussion and sharing of experiences.

TRE is a great self-regulation tool. A simple set of exercises are used to trigger therapeutic tremors in the body. The tremors help reset reflexes and habits in the central nervous system. In tension and trauma old parts of the brain get stuck in defence strategies of 'fight-or-flight' or 'freeze'. TRE is a safe and easy way of releasing tension and waking up your body to feel less sensitive and more resilient.

Learning outcomes

• How to start and stop natural, safe, therapeutic tremors
• Understanding the defence cascades of 'fight-or-flight' and 'freeze'
• Practice of grounding and simple tools to be more embodied and present
• Skills to self regulate and manage intense sensations inside you
• Knowledge of the neurophysiology of trauma and how TRE can help with tiredness, anxiety, pain and inflammation

Certified TRE® Providers can safely teach TRE® as a set of self-regulation exercises to individuals and small groups. There is a structured certification program that takes 10 to 24 months. All work can be completed online or can be a mix of online and in-person events. The key elements are three 2 day workshops (Modules 1, 2 and 3, online or in-person), a significant supervision process and self practice.
