Wonderland the Musical
A bold, modern musical reimagining
Fall down the rabbit hole like never before with BOOM Theatre. Wonderland the Musical is an electrifying, contemporary musical adaptation that throws Lewis Carroll’s classic world headfirst into the modern age.
BOOM is thrilled to be staging Frank Wildhorn’s phenomenal score—crafted by the Tony and Grammy-nominated composer behind Jekyll & Hyde and Bonnie & Clyde and now Death Note. Fusing chart-topping pop hits, smooth jazz rhythms, and show-stopping theatrical anthems, this production turns a timeless story completely on its head.
Forget the quiet child of the original tale; our Alice is an overwhelmed adult navigating the relentless chaos of career deadlines, personal relationships, and everyday burnout. When she steps into her work elevator, she finds herself suddenly pitched headlong into a hidden world beneath the city, and she discovers a surreal underground realm teetering on the edge of anarchy. Swept into a high-stakes war for control of Wonderland between the enigmatic Mad Hatter and the ruthless Queen of Hearts, Alice must find her footing fast. To find her way back to the world from whence she came, she has to dismantle her own self-doubt, reclaim her creative spark, and discover the true strength within herself.
Loaded with breathtaking staging, vivid personalities, and deep emotional resonance, BOOM delivers laugh-out-loud humour, rich heart, and thrilling spectacle in equal measure. Brought to life by an exceptional cast, this is a must-see theatrical experience for theatergoers from 7 to 97.
