Thu 21 Jan 2021 8:00 PM - 9:15 PM GMT
Online, Zoom
Description
Kevin Hearn is the latest in an exciting series of ‘Boothby Graffoe Songs & Stories’ Zoom shows. Proudly presented by Liam McKinnon, these shows offer you over an hour of fun directly from your home.
Kevin and Boothby go way back - to the 90s in fact. Remember the 90s? They've teamed up many a time on stages across the world and now, for the first time ever, they come together online for what promises to be a very special Zoom show and chat.
Kevin Hearn is best known as a long time member of the band Barenaked Ladies, in which he primarily plays keyboards and guitars. He has also released seven records of his own, along with his band Thinbuckle. He was musical director for the late great Lou Reed's band, from 2007 to 2013. He has recorded and/or performed with Look People, Rheostatics, The Tragically Hip, Ron Sexsmith, comedian Harland Williams, The Violent Femmes, Rough Trade and Laurie Anderson.
Kevin creates drawings with ink and pencil crayon on paper. They feature a wild variety of characters from an imagined world. His drawings have been featured as the cover on a recent record by The Violent Femmes. His drawings were also featured on the cover and accompanying book for Snacktime, the Juno-award winning record for children by Barenaked Ladies.
