Women's Walk - Greenock Cut
Unite | Hike | Explore
This walk will be led by a trainer Bonnie Boots walk leader alongside stewards who will ensure the groups safety during this excursion.
This classic circuit climbs over moorland, dotted with reservoirs, before heading along the Greenock Cut - a historic aqueduct which once kept the industries of Greenock supplied with water. The route gives stunning views over the Clyde estuary towards the Highlands.
Please ensure you conduct your own research prior to attending this walk. Walk Highlands is one good resource.
Difficulty and Incline:
• Difficulty: Rated as easy , meaning it’s manageable for most people with a reasonable level of fitness. There may be some steeper sections, but it’s not classified as strenuous.
• Elevation Gain: With an 180m elevation gain, the incline will be noticeable in some areas. However, it’s spread over the full 7.25 miles, which makes it easier to tackle.
