Walk 168: Lennox Forrest and Peathill Wood Circular (mixed & families)

This walk will be led by a trainer Boots & Beards walk leader alongside stewards who will ensure the groups safety during this excursion.

This is a lovely varied trail taking in great views on a clear day as you make your way round Lennox Forest and Peathill Wood taking in the ruins of Lennox Castle hospital and Lover's Leap. Take care on the rougher sections of this trail, especially in wetter conditions. Appropriate footwear is required. Keep an eye out for wildlife as you wind along the trail and enjoy the wild flowers in season.

All trails rates this walk as moderate, 7.4 km in total, approx  2.5 - 3 hours walking time. Please ensure you conduct your own research prior to attending this walk. All trails website is a good resource.

Date/Timings

• Sunday 13 Sept 26
• Arrive at meeting point (Super Soccer, 33 Scotland Street, Glasgow, G5 8NB) at 7:45am
• Minibus departs from Super Soccer promptly at 8am
• Arrive on walking site at 9.15 am
• Return back to Glasgow by approx 4:00 pm

• Comfortable walking shoes
• Comfortable loose clothing (breathable, waterproofs)
• Snacks, healthy lunch and water
• Any medication (if applicable)
