Thresholds - Spoken Word Event

Join Borderlands from 5.30pm until 8pm on Tuesday 18th February at The Crypt, Middlesbrough Town Hall TS1 2QJ for Thresholds, a FREE spoken word event!

In collaboration with Butcher’s Dog and FreeSpill, Borderlands invites you to hear from some of the amazing spoken word artists whose poems have recently been published.

Thresholds is a poetry anthology co-edited by Tahmina Ali and Jo Clement. It was developed via New Writing North’s ‘Brown Girls Write’ programme and is a grass roots anthology of poetry by South Asian women from across the North East. The book's unique cover artwork and illustrations were commissioned pieces by artist Sofia Fox Barton.

The event is FREE to attend, open to all, and will include readings, a panel discussion, and book signing!

To attend, please book your ticket before 10am Friday 14th February 2025. 

Please be aware that although this is a free event it is a strictly ticketed event and anyone wishing to attend must book prior to the above deadline.
