Jen Farrar - BSBI Botanical Skills Officer, Northern Ireland, will be holding a training event on identifying plant leaf rosettes and seed pods in winter at Drumnaph Nature Reserve from 10.30am to 15.30pm on Sunday 26th January.
Some botanical experience would be beneficial for this workshop. Accompanied children over 8 years old are welcome.
There is a small fee associated with this workshop to cover the cost of the materials you will be given. The fee will be waived for children. BSBI members and students receive a 50% discount (please bring along your student card on the day).
This workshop will be a combination of indoor and outdoor activities. We will be spending most of the afternoon outdoors looking at leaf rosettes and seed pods. In the event of poor weather material will be pre-collected for use in the workroom.
The workroom has toilets and a small kitchen with microwave. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided for enjoyment throughout the day. Please bring along your own packed lunch.
The meeting place is the free Drumnaph Nature Reserve West Car Park.
