Jo Mulholland, the BSBI Training Officer in Northern Ireland will be leading a walk through the woodlands located at Carnmoney Hill nature reserve.

This is an opportunity to see some of our charismatic spring flora in all it's glory and discover the more subtle, but equally special, spring woodland plants found in the woodland on Carnmoney Hill

Jo will be also be looking at the different species of trees and shrubs, especially those in flower, along the route. There will be opportunity to discuss what these, and the other species of plants found, tell us about habitat they are found in.

The late spring woodland flora at the beginning of May that we will see and discuss will include, amongst many others, our beautiful native Bluebell, Wood Sorrel and the emerging fronds of the several species of ferns.
