National Plant Monitoring Scheme: 10th Anniversary Celebrations, online event
The National Plant Monitoring Scheme (NPMS) turns 10 years old in 2025, and we are looking to celebrate with all our stakeholders, volunteers and supporters. We hope you will join us for an online event, with speakers, workshops, a panel discussion and more.
Find out how ten years of NPMS data are helping us understand the health of plants and habitats across the UK, and how these data are used by nature conservation organisations; hear from our wonderful volunteer surveyors as they tell us about their experience of the NPMS over its first decade; and find out about the support that's available to everyone who registers for the scheme.
The NPMS is a partnership between the Botanical Society of Britain & Ireland, the Joint Nature Conservation Committee, Plantlife and the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology. Representatives from all four organisations will be at this online event.
Come along and celebrate with us!

Spotlight on NPMS volunteers
There will be lots of opportunities for NPMS volunteers to make their voices heard on the day!
You are invited to make your own digital Plot Portrait poster where you can share your NPMS experiences, observations and highlights, whether you are new to the scheme or have been with us since the start. You can also send us photos or a short video (saved as an MP4 file), for us to share during our Volunteer Voices session, and your posters will be displayed (with your permission) on the NPMS website after the event. Poster tips and guidance can be found HERE. Just email us in advance with your video or a digital copy of your poster and we will do the rest. Please also get in touch if you have any questions or if there is any further support you would like.
Volunteers are also encouraged to submit questions for discussion during the panel discussion. You can either ask your question on the day or email it to us in advance and we will do the rest.
