Botanical Skills NI: NPMS training for Recording plants on NPMS plots at Loughry College, Cookstown
The Botanical Skills Northern Ireland Project is holding a training event on all aspects of how to take part in The National Plant Monitoring Scheme (NPMS) for complete beginners and existing NPMS volunteers.
This training will also be very helpful for people interested in monitoring a local community NPMS square, as we will cover how to relocate existing NPMS plots using coordinates, notes, photographs and maps, how to use the NPMS app, and how to record plants at wildflower level in different habitats.
Training will be carried out on and using an existing NPMS square. This square has been taken on by Cookstown Wildlife Trust volunteers. This event will be entirely outdoors and takes place on moderate terrain.
