Botanical Skills NI: Plant Families with Only a Few Species

The Botanical Skills Northern Ireland Project is holding a training event on Plant Families with Only a Few Species at the Nature Trail Information Centre, Greenmount college on Thursday 16th July. This event will be especially relevant to students on the Identiplant course and the Foundations in Plant ID course.

This training will consist of indoor sessions giving an introduction to the Geranium, Willowherb, Dock and Bedstraw families and looking more closely at examples provided with opportunities to identify nearby examples outside. Later in the day there will be a field based session to look around the campus grounds for examples of members of the 4 families studied earlier.
