Botanical Skills NI: Recording plants on NPMS plots

Join the Botanical Skills Northern Ireland Project for an immersive, practical workshop covering every aspect of participating in the National Plant Monitoring Scheme (NPMS). Designed for complete beginners, existing NPMS volunteers, and anyone interested in monitoring a local community square, this session provides the skills and confidence needed to survey plant life effectively.

Training will take place directly on an active NPMS square currently managed by Cookstown Wildlife Trust volunteers, offering a hands-on learning environment to practice survey techniques, habitat mapping, and plant identification in real field conditions.

Please note that this event is held entirely outdoors. Attendees should come prepared with sturdy outdoor footwear and clothing appropriate for the weather.
