Winter Talk: Wild Pavements, with Amanda Tuke

Amanda Tuke is a nature writer and urban nature champion based in the wilds of suburban South London. She writes a monthly column for Bird Watching Magazine and has written for BBC Countryfile Magazine, British Wildlife, Resurgence Magazine and the RSPB Magazine. 

Her first book, Wild Pavements – Exploring Britain’s Cities with an Urban Naturalist, was published in 2026. In Wild Pavements, Amanda shares her delight in the overlooked and underappreciated wildlife in our UK cities, finds the people who care for it, takes groups out to enjoy it and explores what the current thinking in ecology and conservation means for the future of urban nature.
