Botanical Skills NI: The Botany of Hedgerows

Join the Botanical Skills Northern Ireland Project for a day of discovering the fascinating botany of hedgerows.

Hedgerows are extremely important habitats for wildlife and over 600 native plant species have been recorded in hedges We will learn about what makes a hedgerow habitat and identify species found there. The day will include indoor and outdoor training.

More details about the venue: Lough Neagh Discovery Centre in Oxford Island is a designated National Nature Reserve situated on the peninsula in the southern shores of Lough Neagh in County Armagh.

What to bring: Please always come prepared with suitable outdoor clothing and comfortable walking footwear, as we will be spending time outside in varying weather conditions.
