Botanical Skills NI: Secrets of the Urban Jungle - How plants thrive in the city all year round

Towns and cities might seem like the last place to find wild plants, but look closely and you'll find a thriving botanical world growing in pavement cracks, on walls, in car parks and along roadsides, all year round.

Join the Botanical Skills Northern Ireland Project for a talk with Trevor Dines, one of the UK's best-known botanists and author of Urban Plants. Trevor will reveal how plants survive and thrive in our towns and cities, and why urban botany is full of surprises. You'll come away inspired to look at your local streets in a new way, and ready to take part in the BSBI's New Year Plant Hunt.

No prior knowledge is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to look down.
