Patience, Providence and the Best of Stories: Tafsir of Surah Yusuf

Join us at Bradford Muslim College for an inspiring 5-week Tafsir course exploring Surah Yusuf, a surah described as the Best of Stories and filled with deep lessons for every stage of life.
Taught by Ustadh Gulrez Shaheen, this course will take you through the remarkable journey of Prophet Yusuf عليه السلام - a young boy chosen by Allah, betrayed by his own brothers, sold into slavery, tested by temptation, imprisoned unjustly, and ultimately honoured through patience, trust, and divine wisdom.
Throughout the course, students will reflect on the powerful themes of patience, providence, resilience, forgiveness, family, hardship, and hope. Surah Yusuf reminds us that even when life appears uncertain, Allah’s plan is always unfolding with perfect wisdom. It is a story that speaks to the heart, offering guidance for those facing trials, waiting for relief, or seeking to strengthen their relationship with the Qur’an.
Whether you are new to Tafsir or looking to reconnect with one of the Qur’an’s most moving chapters, this course offers an opportunity to learn, reflect, and draw timeless lessons from a story loved by Muslims across generations.
