YEAR 1 · BUILD YOUR FOUNDATIONS

Your journey into Arabic starts here.

Thursdays · 8:00–9:30pm

Learning outcomes

• Quickly acquire the ability to understand and translate Arabic passages.
• Be introduced to a wide range of Arabic vocabulary.
• Learn the fundamental rules of Arabic grammar.
• Answer exercises fully in Arabic.
• Develop a basic understanding of the verses of the Qur’an.
• Set the foundations to continue to advanced study.

YEAR 2 · DEEPEN YOUR UNDERSTANDING

Beginners Arabic Language Level 2

Fridays · 8:00–9:30pm

Learning outcomes

• Attain proficiency in reading and understanding long passages of Arabic without diacritical markings (harakat).
• Expand your vocabulary further and develop deep knowledge of the etymology of Arabic words and their conjugation.
• Gain comprehensive coverage of all the fundamental rules of Arabic grammar.
• Engage in exercises which prompt you to express your thoughts in Arabic.
• Build a vocabulary bank of all the commonly occurring words in the Qur’an for a deeper connection with Allah’s revelation.
• Pave the path to studying classical texts.

YEAR 3 · OPEN THE DOOR TO CLASSICAL TEXTS

Beginners Arabic Language Level 3

Wednesdays · 8:00–9:30pm

Learning outcomes

• Master reading and understanding Arabic texts without diacritical markings (harakat).
• Continue to expand your vocabulary and develop deep knowledge of the etymology of Arabic words and their conjugation.
• Engage in exercises fully in Arabic.
• Expand your lexicon of Arabic vocabulary to understand the Qur’an and engage with books of exegesis.
• Cover all the rules of syntax through a classical Arabic grammar text.
• Be ready to study classical Islamic texts in the Arabic language.
