Bragg Centre Facilities Open House 2026
Join us for a tour of the Bragg Centre’s nine experimental facilities and discover for yourself just what goes on within the Bragg Centre for Materials Research!
The tour will give you behind-the-scenes access to our world-class facilities and provide a taste of the inspiring materials research going on at the Bragg Centre. You will also meet the experts that run our facilities, and learn the answers to questions such as;
- How can we take a picture of something that is smaller than a single hair?
- How could we find out the size of an Aero bubble without ever cutting into it?
- How do you make a film that is only 1 atom thick?
- How clean is a nanotechnology cleanroom?
Book onto a two hour guided tour, with slots leaving every 15 minutes.
This tour is open and accessible to everybody across the University. You do not need to be a scientist or involved in Research to enjoy this opportunity to learn about our Bragg Centre Facilities!
