Intermediate · 3 Hours · $199
📅 Date ·Thursday, July 31, 2026
4:00 PM – 7:00 PM EST
Strengthen your Illustrator practice by focusing on how design choices shape clarity, composition, and visual communication.
This hands-on session is designed for educators who already have experience with Adobe Illustrator and are ready to strengthen their design skills through practical application. Rather than focusing on basic tools and features, we’ll move deeper into the decisions that influence how a design is structured, read, and understood.
What You’ll Work On
Throughout the session, you’ll work through a series of guided design activities designed to strengthen both technical skills and creative decision-making. Together, we’ll explore how typography, composition, spacing, alignment, and visual hierarchy work together to shape clear and effective visual communication.
The focus is not simply on learning tools, but on understanding how design choices affect readability, emphasis, and overall visual impact. As you work, you’ll see how small refinements can significantly improve the strength and clarity of a design.
Designing Stronger Visual Work
Strong design is built through intentional decisions.
We’ll explore techniques used in real design environments to communicate ideas more clearly and create visuals that feel more structured and purposeful. You’ll develop a stronger understanding of how to evaluate your own work and identify what improves clarity, balance, and overall composition.
You’ll also gain practical approaches for refining layouts, improving visual structure, and strengthening the way information is presented visually.
If you already know the basics of Adobe Illustrator and are ready to create more intentional, structured, and effective designs, this session was built for you.
