Wondrous to see...glorious to hear...a magnificent family ballet!

Aurora, our young heroine, begins our tale as a sweet babe. In celebration of her new life, her parents throw her a party, inviting all of the kingdom's finest people. Their guests wish her a good life, and four fairies bestow upon her magical gifts of character. 

But, in an evil rage, the witch, Carabosse, casts a curse on the child! She declares that on her 16th birthday, Aurora will prick her finger on a spindle and die! Just as it seems the beautiful child's fate is sealed, the Lilac fairy dashes in to change the curse. By her power, she makes it so that Aurora will not die, but fall into an enchanted sleep until a prince awakens her with a kiss. Years go by, and Aurora grows in to a graceful young lady, safely guarded from spindles all of her life. 

On her 16th birthday, the kingdom is gathered together to celebrate her coming of age. Various suitors vow for her affection, and many gifts are bestowed upon her. The evil witch, Carabosse, sneaks in and gifts the child a spindle! To her parents' horror, she loves the mysterious thing and dances with it until she pricks her finger, activating the curse and sending everyone in the castle into a decades long sleep. 

After many years, a young prince Desiree is wandering in the forest...is he the saviour to our heroine and her subjects?
