Live Artist Talks at Castlefield Gallery with the Breezy for Creatives Podcast

Castlefield Gallery is excited to host a live artist talk on April 12th, presented by Breezy for Creatives, a podcast dedicated to insightful conversations with artists and creative professionals. Hosted by Crónán Creagh and Cameron Laird, this special event will bring together artists and associates from the Castlefield Gallery community to share their experiences, creative processes, and artistic journeys.

This live podcast will provide a unique platform for the artists to discuss their work in an open and relaxed setting, fostering conversations that delve into the nuances of their practice, inspirations, and the evolving creative landscape. As part of Breezy for Creatives’ ongoing series, the event will highlight the intersection between art, community, and professional growth within contemporary creative spaces.

Rowland Hill
Rowland Hill is a Manchester-based artist working across the visual and performing arts. She studied Drama and English before graduating with a Masters in Fine Art from the Slade in 2018. Her work has recently been supported and commissioned by Jerwood Foundation, Raven Row, the Turner Contemporary and Pase Platform (Venice) amongst others. rowland-hill.com

Evita Ziemele
Evita Ziemele is a Latvian artist based in Manchester, UK. Graduating with First Class Honours from Salford University in 2022 she has since exhibited her works around Manchester, London and Tokyo. With her own unsettling visual language developed through wearable sculpture which distorts the body she explores the mythologies and misogynies of female existence. evitaziemele.com

Marco Frezza 
Marco Frezza is an early career artist whose paintings aim to create visual arguments between order and chaos. Influenced by philosophy and media theory, he embraces ambiguity, drawing viewers into a space of complexity and contradiction—where meaning is a state of flux, and certainty is always in question. instagram.com/marco.frezza.art

Kay Shah
Kay Shah is a British-Pakistani artist based in Manchester, exploring culture, identity, and belonging through surreal digital paintings and installations. Their immersive environments evoke liminality, transition, and isolation. A Manchester School of Art graduate and DMZ Studio member, Shah has exhibited at HOME, Castlefield Gallery, and Bury Art Museum, earning multiple awards. www.kay-shah.com
