The Lincoln branch of Bridge McFarland Solicitors has chosen LEAP to be their charity of the year in 2018/19.
LEAP supports children and young people in Lincoln (aged 16+) who are homeless - these young people are often in the care of the local authority having been removed from dangerous or neglectful domestic environments.
A staggering 20% of young people have had to 'sofa surf' in the last year because they have nowhere else to go – LEAP have over 40 bed spaces for young people, and they offer 24 hour support and advice to all their residents.
On the 12th October we will be spending the night out in the open to raise money for LEAP, and we would like to invite you to join us.
This will be the second 'Sleep for LEAP' challenge, the first having taken place last year at Lincoln College.
We are asking for a £10 registration fee per person, and you will be provided with sponsorship forms in advance and a t-shirt on the night.
If you don't feel like you are able to spend the night outside but would still like to join in then you can register and join us for the first few hours – please note that this event is for ages 18+ and all registered volunteers are required to sign a waiver prior to the event.
We hope that you are able to join us and take part in this challenge to raise funds for what is a wonderful cause!
