- We Know a Lot
We know climate change is happening.
We know our choices matter.
We know our communities need support.
We know there are things we'd like to change.
So why is taking action often the hardest part?
Join Jacquie Silvester MSc, PISEP, founder of Bright Green Edge CIC, for an engaging and thought-provoking evening exploring the space between knowing and doing.
What began as a decision to study sustainability in 2021, led Jacquie to a bigger question:
If awareness is growing, why do so many of us still struggle to take action?
Inspired by experiences at Anthropy 2023 and the conversations that followed, Jacquie began exploring the gap between what we know and what we actually do. That journey led to the development of The Bright Green Edge™️, a practical framework designed to help individuals, organisations and communities move from awareness to action.
Through stories, reflection and conversation, we'll explore: - Why awareness alone is rarely enough
- What gets in the way of meaningful action
- How uncertainty, perfectionism and waiting for the "right time" can hold us back
- How small, practical steps can create momentum and lasting change
While rooted in sustainability, the ideas explored during the evening are relevant to anyone trying to create a positive change within an organisation, a community or their own life.
Whether you're a business owner, charity leader, sustainability practitioner, community organiser or simply curious about how change really happens, you'll leave with fresh perspectives, practical insights and a new way of thinking about the journey from knowing to doing.
