Exploring Implicit Bias and Structural Racism in the Helping Profession

Fri Jun 5, 2026 9:00 AM - 12:15 PM EDT Online, Zoom

Let’s Talk About It: Knowing Yourself Within Practice—Exploring Implicit Bias and Structural Racism in the Helping Profession

This reflective and engaging continuing education course creates a supportive space for practitioners to examine how personal identity, lived experience, and social context shape professional practice. Participants will explore implicit bias and structural racism within helping professions. With attention to diverse cultural and religious identities — this course encourages thoughtful dialogue, self-awareness, and skill-building to support more equitable, culturally responsive, and ethically grounded care.

Participants will receive 3 anti-oppression/cultural competency CEs following their completion of the program.

Note: Program also meets criteria for Maryland's implicit bias and structural racism requirement.
