Shore Sound - Beach Rave - Greater Brighton Area

Welcome to the Shore Sound Beach Rave - Number 1!

Today is the first time our secret beach front venue has seen any raving action for over 30 years and we’re so pleased to have you along to help kick off a new era.

We can now reveal the party will be held at Carat’s Café on Southwick beach, all details and a few FAQs about the night further down, but first a bit of history about this cheeky little venue…

Carat’s used to host regular acid house raves put on by party legends Positive Sounds and Tribal Energy during the early 90s (known as the Shoreham Power Station Raves), that was until they got too big! The café is located on a public beach and so when word spread the masses came, and sadly they stopped hosting due to pressure from the authorities (the criminal justice act). You can see just what they were like in the video below (maybe you were there?) – scroll to about 5 mins in to roll back the years!

We’ve updated things slightly, with some of the best sound systems around

(Funktion One outdoors and QSC indoors) but are keeping the vibe the same. Expect lots of old school and acid house re-rubs and underground sounds from our curated DJs, who have many, many years of experience behind them, will be entertaining you across two stages from 6pm until 2am.

As this is an outdoor focused event – please ensure to bring suitable clothing for the colder night climate – it will be hot during the day but temperatures will dip down to 16c for most of the evening – so be comfortable with layers! I’m sure this isn’t your first rodeo .

The venue has not done any night events like this before and is a daytime venue. As such they are looking for us to support them to enable us to put on parties like this – please enjoy their bar to help keep us going – with our ticket prices at only £8 this doesn’t cover much so a bar spend would be greatly appreciated by you. Feel free to get smashed with our full blessing. There’s also loos so you don’t have to do the holding-it-in dance after.

There will be bouncers on the door and there is the standard no drugs policy in place. We’ve also held back a small number of tickets on the door for your forgetful/last-minute friends but they really are limited so the usual ‘arrive early’ caveats apply.
