Brighton Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is thrilled to invite you to an evening that promises not just to entertain but to inspire and provoke thought. We are hosting a special screening of the compelling documentary, “Six Inches of Soil”, a film that delves deep into the British countryside to reveal a quiet but powerful revolution against the destructive global industrialised food systems.
About the Film:

These pioneers are leading the way in transforming agricultural practices to heal the land, nurture our health, and strengthen local communities. The Evening's Itinerary:
4:00–5:00 PM: Arrival and Welcome
Begin the evening with a warm welcome at the Brighton CSA's. Enjoy the chance to mingle and settle in for an unforgettable night.
5:00–6:00 PM: Site Tours
Embark on a guided tour of our vibrant community food growing project. Witness first-hand the principles of organic farming in action and learn about the innovative practices that make Brighton CSA a beacon of sustainability and community engagement.
6:00–7:00 PM: Organic and Low Carbon Dinner
Savour a shared meal that embodies our commitment to health, ecology, fairness, and care. Indulge in delicious, organic, and locally sourced dishes that showcase the best of what our community and the surrounding area have to offer.
7:30 PM: Film Screening — “Six Inches of Soil”
After the meal, gather in the Earthship, Brighton’s pioneering sustainable building, for the highlight of the evening. Experience the powerful story of “Six Inches of Soil” in a setting that reflects the film's message of ecological harmony and community resilience.
9:45–10:00 PM: Discussion and Reflection
As the sun sets, join us for a facilitated discussion. Share your thoughts, reflections, and questions about the film, and explore how we can collectively contribute to a more sustainable and just food system.
