CPD with a Difference: An Evening of Connection and Conversation
Join us for a relaxed evening of connection, sharing, and learning from each other.
Our first gathering sparked so many great conversations. We’re excited to come together again for the next in the series.
This isn’t your standard CPD event. It’s a space for us to learn from each other, share experiences, and explore ideas together as a community. Everyone’s voice matters, and the conversations we have together are just as valuable as the talks themselves.
Following the feedback from our last event, we’re having two speakers instead of three so there’s more time for conversation. For this next event, the conversation will be led by:
Kath Shaw – on finding the person-centred way of being later in life, and the impact it’s had (and continues to have) on her. She reflects on what got in the way, including internalised conditions of worth, the weight of shame, and the voice of her inner critic. She describes her talk as being about "the experience of continually moving and growing."
Meriel Whale – on what it means, in person-centred work, to sit with a client who is grieving or longing for something we have in our own lives. Drawing on her experience working with women who are childless not by choice, she invites us to consider how we meet this difference with empathy and sensitivity.
Each talk will last around 20 minutes, followed by time for questions and an open discussion.
Whether you're a therapist, a student, or just curious, come along and be part of the conversation.
We can’t wait to see you there!
