Junior beginners fencing course - Bristol Central

Cost: £60 for a 6 week course with all equipment provided.

Sessions dates:

• Tuesday 15th September
• Tuesday 22nd September
• Tuesday 29th September
• Tuesday 6th October
• Tuesday 13th October
• Tuesday 20th October

Time: 6PM – 7.30PM (hall opens at 6PM, session starts at 6.15PM

Suitable for complete beginners - learn all the basics of fencing, from footwork to how to hit (8 years old and above).

Location: Bristol Grammar School Sports Hall (pedestrian entrance off up the steps off of Elmdale Road – maps.app.goo.gl/NXUTHgTtKv8x3zHeA) (what3words: ///torn.rocks.topic).

Free parking is available in the school car park at the top of University Road (what3words: ///meals.metro.chimp). It is then a short walk down the hill to Elmdale Road.

If you require use of the accessible entrance, eg for a wheelchair user, please let us know and we will arrange this with the venue.

What to bring: Comfortable sports clothing – T shirt, long tracksuit bottoms (no shorts, please!), and trainers. You should also bring a water bottle and a desire to hit people with swords!

Refund policy

If you are no longer able to attend your course you can transfer onto the next available course free of charge (we run courses around 3 times per year). Alternatively, you can request a refund (minus  £5 admin fee). No refunds will be payable if you change your mind once the course has begun.
