What: British Army Music: Operation Cyber Beat.
When: Friday 16 October 2026 | 1000–1300 (main show at 1100).
Where: Great Hall, University of Exeter, EX4 4PY.
Who: Army Engagement Ensemble.
Why: British Army Music invites you and your students to an unforgettable, interactive musical event that blends live performance with hands-on workshops, designed to deepen knowledge of the elements of music whilst highlighting the role of music within the Army.

When should we arrive?
Your group is kindly requested to be in your seats in enough time for the main show to start promptly at 1100 but please feel free to arrive from 1000 and learn more about the role of music in the British Army. Outside the main show, your students will have the opportunity to become a conductor with Army musicians, write a short fanfare, learn how to march and even try on some of our famous uniforms!
How long is the main show?
The main show is approx. 50 mins but you are welcome to arrive early or stay a little later to take part in our other activities. All groups will need to have vacated by 1300.
Is lunch provided?
No. But if it is easier for your group to bring a packed lunch, you are welcome to eat this after the main show is finished.
Is there a cost?
No. This event is completely free!
Do we need to provide staff supervision?
Yes. Please ensure you provide enough staff to account for your own safeguarding ratios.
Is this concert accessible for students with additional needs?
Please let us know on the booking form if there are any additional needs in your party that we need to consider. In terms of accessibility, we will work with the venue to meet the requirement for wheelchair spaces etc.
Please Note: The performance includes loud music and some flashing lighting effects. Whilst not strobe lighting, individuals who may be affected by sound or light sensitivity are advised to take all appropriate precautions.
