Moulton College, NN3 7RR
Description
Whether you're a judge, coach or rider, the 2024 Principles of Dressage event will offer something for everyone; from specific workshops for our officials, to arena sessions that will delve into the new BD tests, this latest BD training event is not one to be missed!
Hosted by FEI 5* judges Peter Storr and Andrew Gardner, international rider and trainer Michael Eilberg, the two days will focus on the new test structure, with the new tests being ridden and discussed, providing judges, coaches and riders with key insights, advice and tips from all angles of the sport.
Hear from our hosts on what the new tests mean for you - whether you're a rider looking to get a head start on learning the new tests, a coach needing to understand how best to integrate the new tests into your clients training, or a judge wanting to get up to speed with how these changes will impact your role.
The event will also include specific workshop and arena sessions for both judges and coaches, and will count towards your CPD requirements for the year.
The Principles of Dressage: for judges
As with the previous Principles of Judging Seminar, there will be two arena sessions and two classroom sessions for each judging section (Trainee – List 5 and List 4 – List 3A) across the weekend. Judges who are List 2 or above can choose to attend any of the judge training sessions. By attending the Principles of Dressage you will gain your full CPD requirements for the year.
The Principles of Dressage:
for coaches
Providing a key CPD opportunity, the Principles of Dressage will enable you to earn both technical and non-technical CPD points, with a minimum of two arena and two classroom sessions specifically for coaches across the weekend. This will include how to train clients for the new tests and directives and providing effective feedback to those you teach.
You will also have the opportunity to sit in on the judge arena sessions to gain more of an understanding on how marks will be awarded in the new tests, enabling you to incorporate this valuable insight into your teaching.
The Principles of Dressage:
for riders
If you’re looking to hit the ground running with the new tests and be fully prepared for riding them in the winter qualification season from July 2024, then the Principles of Dressage event is for you. Listen to all of the arena sessions with our hosts and learn all about the new tests and directives from some of the best in the business.
You will hear first hand what it is the judges will be looking for, as well gaining insight into how to prepare for the new tests through your training – whether that’s with your coach or in your own training time at home.
